Snowboarding 01.16.08

I did it again!
I'm totally hooked!!
Now that I stop falling (so bad), I'm having so much fun.
I did some warmup and practice at bunny hill.
Then I tried a little advanced beginner course.
At first I was bit scared/nervous, but I kept telling myself
"You ride motorcycle, you ride motorcycle much, much faster"
and that worked!
There are at least 7 ski/snowboard area near Minneapolis.
I'm so going to hit them all!!! Yeah!!!!

Mike's mother got me a Crock Pot for Christmas. :)

Snowboarding 01.16.08

I finally did it!
This was something I always wanted to do, but yet haven't had a chance.
Since I live in 6 months long winter, I needed to find something to do.
Got a used board and boots from Craigs List and eBay.
Snowboarding pants from youth section at Sports Authority.
All and all probably costed me about $200 to get it start.

Afton Alps

$26 for weekday pass and $20 for a lesson.
Lesson was about an hour and a half which was great.
After lunch break, I started getting on a lift.
At first, I pretty much rolled down the hill.
But after a while, I was able to ride down without falling.

This is Nancy's Nursery where I hung around all day.

While I'm cooling off my butt sitting on the snow.

After 5 something hours, my butt couldn't take it anymore.
Time to go home.

I'm very sore, but I had a great day.
(couple of beers and hot tub helped, but my butt still hates me)
So glad finally got to try it and I'll keep going back til I can ride backcountry!
